Hamilton, ON – La Liga Hamilton, an amateur Hispanic league based in Hamilton, has announced that it will begin their annual summer soccer league on June 3, 2023. The tournament will take place every saturday evening at Heritage Green Sports Park.  This year, La Liga Hamilton has entered into an agreement with Forge FC to host La Liga Hamilton’s championship final at the Tim Hortons Field with the champions being recognized at half time of Forge FC’s Canadian Premier League game against Pacific FC on September 23, 2023.

In addition to the championship final, Forge FC and La Liga Hamilton will collaborate on a series of community events throughout the season to benefit league participants and their families. These initiatives aim to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all soccer fans, particularly the passionate Latino community, to interact with Forge FC’s organization and players.

Sebastian Castello, Forge FC’s Mexican-Canadian midfielder, has been named ambassador player for La Liga Hamilton’s summer league as part of the team’s collaboration with the local amateur soccer league. As ambassador player, Castello will participate in community engagement activities, including meet-and-greet sessions with fans.

La Liga Hamilton is expected to attract some of the best amateur soccer players and teams in the city from different cultures, providing an opportunity to showcase their talents on the field. The tournament will also be an excellent opportunity for different communities to come together through the power of soccer.
